JO MALONE Assam & Grapefruit is one of five limited edition scents created in the Tea Fragrance Blend range.
Notes: grapefruit, mate, patchouli, cardamom and almond.
Thoughts: I could not smell this on paper…even after sniffs of coffee beans and the sales associate spritzing it liberally on paper. After 2 spritzs of Assam & Grapefruit on my skin, I could get the barest sniff of what I could best describe as soap…imagine creamy white soap…then there was the slightest hint of something spicy and nutty mixed in a floral scent…which I could only detect when I had my nose squashed to my wrist and inhaling deeply…followed with the familiar scent of grapefruit.
Then…there was nothing…I could not smell anything…Assam & Grapefruit had disappeared on my skin…unbelievably in less than 1.5 hours!! Instead of something strong and pungent like Assam tea, Assam & Grapefruit turned out clean and light.
Verdict: My favourite of the lot but very disappointed with the lasting power.
