CHANEL released Rouge Coco Shine Adyil #457 and Pygmalion #467 as part of the Summer 2013 collection.
CHANEL’s L’ete Papillion collection is inspired by the “The dazzling colours of butterflies inspire a joyful look for face and fingertips with the enchanting Summer collection. Lashes flutter in electric shades of mascara and eyelids are adorned with gleaming colours. Nails and lips complete the effect with shades of sunlit brilliance.”
CHANEL ‘Ombres Matelassées’ Pearl River Eyeshadow Palette is described as ‘bright silvery white, white gold, vintage gold, peach, and brown. To create big, bright eyes, contrast the deep brown shade with the bright white color.’
The Hysan Place collection was created exclusively to celebrate the opening of Hysan Place in Hong Kong edition and the ‘Ombres Matelassées’ Pearl River Eyeshadow Palette is one of the three limited edition items in the collection.
The latest incarnation of Chanel’s famous Rouge Allures….Rouge Allure Intense Lip colour is described as “One lip color. One style. A woman’s allure is defined. With its line of fresh and luminous shades that are more intense than ever, ROUGE ALLURE offers a radiant and satiny makeup result with optimal hold, in an ultra-smooth, meltaway texture. Nestled in its sleek black case, ROUGE ALLURE unleashes the full intensity of its colour with one simple click and its ultra-femininity in a single sweep.”
CHANEL created a limited edition collection exclusively to celebrate the opening of Hysan Place in Hong Kong.
The three exclusive products include:
- eye shadow palette ‘Ombres Matelassées’ Pearl River;
- nail polish – Eastern Light and
- nail polish – Western Light.
I believe this collection is/will be available exclusively at the Chanel boutiques.
CHANEL introduced a range of duo eyeshadows sometime in 2010 (I think) called the Ombre Contraste Duos. This foolproof pairing of complementary shades — in two unique textures — is housed in one convenient compact. The softly shimmering light shade is a creamy powder, which can be worn alone for a luminous effect, or as a base to extend the wear of the accompanying deep-toned shadow. The dark shade has intense micronized pigments for true colour application, and a matte finish to create depth and contour. Two applicators are included: a foam-tip to apply the shadows and a brush to blend. Available in six essential shade harmonies designed to take the guesswork out of harmonizing and applying eyeshadow.*
CHANEL is releasing a new mascara called Le Volume de Chanel on chanel.com in limited quantities from November 12 2012.
CHANEL says “this high-precision mascara achieves instant volume and intensely lush colour in a single stroke. Its innovative formula expands, plumping lashes to their fullest. The exclusive new ‘Snowflakes’ brush combines long and short bristles to deliver an extreme, eye-opening effect.”
CHANEL sent me a parcel the other day. I opened the envelope and out came a series of postcards with gorgeous and very cute drawings on them.
The postcards contained an invitation to a Chanel event at the Chanel Beauty Boutique to discover the quintessential Parisian beauty secrets with a friend. Since I am a Chanel addict and crazy to know how to achieve that French Je du Noir (am pretty sure I spelt this wrongly!), I picked up the phone straight away!
Unfortunately, it was a bored sales assistant who picked up the phone and answer ‘You get to try the new lipsticks’ to my enquiry on what would be happening at the event. It was with much disbelief when I heard that…Did Chanel seriously created a bunch of cute postcards and sent it to customers just to invite them to the counters to try the new lipsticks? Perhaps that explained why prices were increasing all the time?
Fortunately, I received another call later in the week enquiring if I had received their invitation. Now this lady who sounded very bright and cherry on the phone explained in greater detail what the event entails…
The moment she uttered the words ‘there would be light refreshments’…I was sold! Well that and the words ‘complimentary makeover’. Sign me on…
