2009 Spring…Its not all Pinks afterall!

Prior to my first overview on Spring 2009 (Please see – Spring 2009…Nothing but Pinks!) I concluded (hehe…there’s that word again!) that the Western brands seem to have Pink as their main theme for Spring 2009.  On the other hand, while some of the Japanese brands had pink as their theme (Please see – Spring 2009…More Pink?), I was of the opinion that there was actually a good mix of pale pastels or a pink and lilac theme with a focus on release of new formula eyeshadows and lipsticks (Please see – Spring 2009…What happened to the pinks?).

However, I just came across more pictures from the Western brands that seem to showcase a neutrals/naturals look…so my first thought that Spring 2009 had only a pink theme isn’t that quite right…I would say Spring 2009 perhaps has a predominantly pink theme…

As can be seen from the pictures, it appears that Chantecaille, Trish McEvoy, Sisley and Cleu de Peau all went the route with quite gorgeous natural /nude looks. But the natural/nude looks were given colour  with  red lips- Chanel  or pink lips – Sisley, Trish.

A nude/natural look  is also apparently quite the hit for the catwalks this spring…

Have a great weekend!

    1. Hi Fuz

Yup! i figured pale pastels are more of a spring colour…the neturals with red lips actuall felt more fall/winter to me…maybe summer is gonna be really bright shades!

      Thanks for visiting my blog!
