2009 Spring: Chanel Bohemian Fantasy Collection Review – Lips

Continuation of  the Chanel Spring 2009 Review… the products release for the lips were actually quite fabulous except for the limited edition lip palettes…

Chanel Wild Rose, Malta, Positano, Beige Guitare

Beige Guitare is well beige…a very shimmery beige…you could almost say its frosty. Pairs very very well with the Positano/Malta Lipstick for a nude look.

Wild Rose…oh my god…a gorgeous shimmery rose shade. A very wearable MYLBB (My Lips But Better) shade

Positano is a nude lipstick…beige with hint of pink…this paired with Beige Guitare Glossimer is drop dead gorgeous! There’s Malta as well…its more of a coppery nude shade. Please see Karen’s post for swatches – Chanel Spring 2009: Aqualumiere Lipsticks

Top Row: Fuego #166; Beige Desire #168; Gipsy Scarlet #170

Bottom Row: Rose Rebelle 158 #Euphoria 160 #Fiesta 164

A gorgeous, gorgeous range of red shades…no doubt if you are a lover of red, there is something here for you! There’s a true red -Gipsy Scarlett, a red with tinge of orange – Fiesta, a coral red – Fuego, a nude beigy shade – Beige Desire, a rose red or rose pink (depending on how your see it)- Euphoria and a pink – Rose Rebelle.

Best of all, if you dont have a red lipstick and would like to try a red lipstick…this range is perfect because the reds are quite sheer. The look would be much more softer than say the YSL Rouge Volupte. Please see Karen’s post – Chanel Spring 2009 Hydrabase Lipsticks for swatches on the red lippies.

Limited Edition lip palette. This lip palette is probably a hard core chanel fan/addict must-have item…but for some reason I took one look at it and didnt even bother to swatch them…the amount of product for each shade was so tiny…there was no way my fat finger would be able to test each shade…anyway i was much more fascinated with the red lippies.

Gorgeous mix of shades that I am sure anyone can find a shade they like. There’s nude lips to go with the neutral look (which can definitely go smokey for night) and red/pink shades to give the neutral shades a kick. I detect a problem  on deciding which red lippie to purchase.

Hope this helps!

    1. Hi Fuz

yes….i dont like lip palettes either…actually i dont like palettes cos i fear that i will end up using up one shade and the palette would look crap but i finally realise that there’s no way i would finish any shade so yup…am buying palettes!! but i still prefer my lip stuff in a lipstick or lipgloss form…

      thanks for dropping by!
