My Other Obsessions – Clutch Bags…The Sequel

Besides my ‘obsession’ with makeup, my other ‘obsession’ is about clutch bags. Previously I wrote about clutch bags at – My Other Obsessions – Clutch Bags. More pictures of clutches…

Colours

Pink….gorgeous against grey and navy and any dark winter clothing…this Bayswater over-sized clutch is a new take on Mulberry’s iconic Bayswater bags…this will be a classic enduring style that will last for years to come. Best bit, is buying this would be like buying two bags for the price of one!! You can actually use it as a shoulder bag and convert it to a clutch by removing the strap!! Comes in black as well – so that work for regular use in the office and evenings as well!!

Another bright coloured clutch in pink! A cute clutch with the trade mark MJ lock at the corner of the clutch and the buckle detailing to give a sightlier edgier punk look!

Detailing

If you are hesitant with adding colour to your wardrobe and/or are shy with bright colours, a  darker tone purple gives some colour to your wardrobe and  the  details would liven up things abit…

A whimsical wristlet that is cute and functional!

Simple Classic Styles

While bright colourful clutches would be perfect for  adding colour to your wardrobe and quirky details on clutches would provide an unusual element to your wardrobe…the simple classic styles would no doubt last much longer in your wardrobe. The simple ones while they might be boring, would actually not only survive the constant changes in fashion, it would also work beautifully at various functions. The following bags could work well at a chic business lunch or a lunch/high tea with your girlfriends or even a less formal wedding! I would even take it to say a art gallery exhibition or a musical/play performance!

Mayle Samira Soft Fold Bicolor Clutch
Mayle Samira Soft Fold Bicolor Clutch

Two clutches in one, just fold to match your mood. A two-tone satin fold-over clutch with zipper main compartment closure. Logo coin charm at zipper pull. Lined. You are getting two for the price of one…economical and black and white are always classic colours that go with everything!

MBMJ Dr. Q Magazine Clutch
MBMJ Dr. Q Magazine Clutch

Marc’s well-known magazine clutch. Over-sized, folded leather clutch with subtle distressing throughout and logo plate at front. Pleating and secondary compartment under flap. Zipper pocket at secondary compartment. Zipper main compartment closure. Lined. This looks work office appropriate and somehow slightly edgy…perhaps pair with a biker leather jacket and short black skirt with boots?? Also available in a muted orange if black isn’t your colour.

Lauren Merkin Quilted Edie Bag

Quilted leather handbag with gold hardware. Adjustable, detachable strap and magnetic closure at main compartment. Lined interior features zipper pocket. Definitely a classic bag that would last years and its multi-purpose with its adjustable strap too!!

MBMJ Punk Posh Convertible Clutch

This bag is quite cool…its a convertible clutch…meaning just remove the strap and ta-da you get a clutch and if you want a shoulder bag, just put the strap back on…its kinda like that song “you put your right hand in, you take your right hand out and shake it all abit…” A simple no-nonsense bag that could double as a shoulder bag and clutch and hence double the usage in your life – a shoulder bag for work/ casual outings and a clutch for dressier occasions…i think it came in brown and blue as well…but am not sure if those colours are last season…

Hope you enjoyed drooling at the pictures!

        1. Hi

Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment.

I too have read that MJ in US is super duper cheap especially when the departmental store have their sales…I do believe Saks ships internationally now…so it might be a good thing to wait till sales!

          cheers
