Jo Malone Sakura Cherry Blossom Cologne Review

JO MALONE  introduces Sakura Cherry Blossom cologne, a scent inspired by those precious days when the profusion of blooms paints pastel pink clouds into Spring’s bright blue skies.

Sakura Cherry Blossom is a limited edition cologne, launched in the month of March for Asia. Apparently, only the Hong Kong and Singapore stores stock this item. I was told that the Hong Kong stores sold out of this cologne pretty early in March. However, I believe this just might be available in UK in May, so keep your eyes peeled or rather your nose. *

Notes: Roses, bergamot, mimosa, mandarin, musk & woods.

Packaging: Rectangular bottle with pink ribbon at cap. SGD95 for 30ml; SGD190 for 100ml. GBP34 (30ml); GBP68 (100ml)

Thoughts: It’s a very light, fresh and delicate floral scent that has minimal sillage. Perfect for the office. I smelt bergamot mixed within a floral scent which I can only identify one scent as roses. Occasionally, I get whiffs of the bergamot bursting through the floral scent, then it settles down to a mostly floral/woody scent. Sadly, the cologne lasted only about 3 hours on my skin & by then I have to sniff my wrists to smell anything.  Sakura Cherry Blossom invokes the feeling of sitting under the Cherry Blossom trees with a slight breeze blowing and the lovely pink cherry blossoms fluttering against the blue skies.

Combination: Its great combined with Red Red Roses or French Lime Blossom or Blue Agava & Cacao. Jo Malone suggests Nectarine Blossom & Honey which adds a freshness to the scent or Vetyver which creates a warm aromatic scent.

Verdict: Quite a lovely pretty scent.

Hope this helps!
