On her wedding day, Kate the Duchess of Cambridge wore White Gardenia Petals from Illuminum.

White Gardenia Petals is described as: “As fragrant as a bouquet of white flowers, quivering in the gentle April breeze, this is a delicate and nuanced scent. The top note of stately gardenia evokes classicism, whilst heart notes of ylang ylang, muguet and jasmine bring a trio of frivolous white flowers into play. Amber wood underscores this light, fresh bouquet, adding depth and deep rooted tradition.”

White Gardenia Petals costs £70 and is available exclusively from roullierwhite.com

Early reports spoke about the Duchess of Cambridge applying her own makeup for her wedding held on April 29 2011. She kept the look fairly similar to her usual look except for her eyes.

There is a slightly heavier emphasised on her eyes. Her eyeliner is much softer (thank god!) as compared to her last couple of outings – see Kate Middleton’s Beauty Moments

But she did appear to have added a taupe eye shadow in her socket creating a smokey effect. She finish off her look with pinkish lips and a rosy blusher.

However, Instyle has reported that there were Bobbi Brown makeup assistants on hand for the bridal party that day. The Duchess was also spotted shopping for Bobbi Brown cosmetics and Lancome’s mascara before her big day.

The Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla Bowles, as a pampering wedding day treat arranged for Manicurist Marina Sandoval from the Jo Hansford salon’s services—which also included a luxury soak, exfoliation and deep tissue massage for the bride.   The bride wore Bourjois So Laque Ultra Shine Nail Enamel in Rose Lounge, a barely there pink sold only in the UK, and Essie Allure ($8, essie.com), a sheer beige tone blended together.

Thoughts: I can understand wanting to remain recognisable to your man but I must say what a brave soul she is! Applying your own makeup for your big day is nerve-racking! Especially when the wedding is broadcast to millions!! But, I would like a much softer eyeliner and more mascara on her eyes instead. Love her understated nails!
