The ninth day of the 2011 Canada/USA Tour with 4 different outfit changes!
JULY 8, 2011
CALGARY STAMPEDE, ALBERTA, CANADA
At her second appearance at the Calgary Stampede, the Duchess wore another Temperley London blouse, Passion bootcut jeans by GoldSign, the same belt and brown suede cowboy boots as yesterday and her ten-gallon hat to the Calgary Stampede.
The Temperley London Rodeo shirt: ivory sheer cotton and silk-blend, stand collar, pleated shoulders, long sleeves, buttoned cuffs, scalloped sheer lace-trimmed front, curved hem, camisole to line. $660 at Net-A-Porter.com.
Next, the Duchess visited the Calgary zoo in a red coat dress by Catherine Walker. There’s another red dress worn underneath the dress coat.
She accessorized with hwe L.K. Bennett sledge pumps and the nude snake-print rectangular clutch. For a bit of sparkle, she wore Queen Elizabeth’s maple leaf brooch, Kiki McDonough White Topaz & diamond earrings and Diamond by the Yard bracelet.
BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA
Prince William and his wife Kate touch down at LAX International Airport in Los Angeles wearing a pale lilac dress by Roksanda Ilincic. The dress is a light blue grey colour. The dress has cap sleeves with pleats running down from the asymmetrical draped neckline to waist band and ending with a pleated skirt. The back has centre pleats with exposed centre back zip. Small pleated panels from back waist band. Beige grosgrain front tie. She teamed the look with the L.K. Bennett Natalie clutch and diamond and white topaz earrings by Kiki McDonough.
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA
The Duchess of Cambridge stopped by a reception at the British Consul-General’s residence wearing Diane Von Furstenberg’s Maja dress. The dress is made of green silk-crepe and fully lined. The front features a boat neck while the neckline ends as a V-back with gold snap fastenings down the back. The sleeves are half sleeves with seam detail and a detachable tie at the waist.
She is carrying Diane von Furstenberg leopard print snake-skin clutch called Lytten and wearing a chunky gold bracelet that I believe has the C-C initials (i.e the bracelet Camilla gave Catherine and has both their initials engraved on it) and her LK Bennett sledge heels.
Thoughts: There were four different outfit changes on Day 9. The Duchess wore both of her most colourful dresses on the same day – the red outfit (when leaving Canada) and the green outfit at the British Consul-General’s home. While I love the shot of colour, so different from her usual nude outfits, I simple love the lilac dress she wore on arrival at the airport. The Duchess also finally introduces new accessories (the clutch and bracelet)!
